Costco and Yahoo yesterday launched a free internet access service. The service will be provided by Web access company Spinway Inc. and will be offered exclusively to Costco’s 25 million shopping club members. The deal also included Costco becoming a premier merchant on Yahoo’s Internet network. Customers will be able to access information on Costco products as well as shop online for items including computers, consumer electronics and jewelry. The software will be distributed on CD-ROMs at store locations and can be downloaded at Costco.com.
