Privacy Council Launches Data Security Division

The Privacy Council yesterday introduced NetDiligence, a new division formed to help insurance companies assess risk in their data security systems.

Companies would use NetDiligence's Cyber Risk Management Program to identify such risks, the council said. The program lets insurers identify and address network exposures that could lead to hacking, data theft, denial of service attacks and other privacy breaches.

The program is for use by commercial insurance underwriters.

The division is based in Philadelphia and led by vice presidents Mark Greisiger and Brad Gow.
