Cisco to offer Oracle CRM application

Cisco has partnered with software company Oracle to provide WebEx CRM On Demand by Oracle.

This new system, aimed at speeding up business sales cycles, is designed to work with Oracle’s Siebel CRM On Demand application.

CRM On Demand by Oracle is available now from Cisco WebEx sales. It will be available through the WebEx Connect application system in early 2008.

WebEx Connect, which is hosting Oracle’s Siebel CRM app, has been available since September 2006. It allows users to build customized applications for specific business processes. These mash-up applications, which feature Web 2.0 to encourage collaboration, can address on-demand, on-premise or on-desktop business needs.

By throwing Oracle into the mix, WebEx executives hope to leverage the combined power of enterprise 2.0 mash-ups, the growing CRM market, and on-demand application platforms.

Salespeople will be able to use the Oracle application throughout the sales process for marketing, tracking and closing on campaigns. CRM on Demand by Oracle also helps users demonstrate, present and forecast sales processes. The application provides sales management tools, sales dashboards, forecasting capabilities and real-time process management. Oracle Siebel also tracks WebEx meetings and prospecting activity automatically, generating integrated reports.

Oracle, based in Redwood Shores, CA, touts itself as the world’s largest enterprise software company.

San Jose, CA-based Cisco provides online business tools. Cisco WebEx has 2.3 million registered users. Revenue for Cisco at the end of fiscal year 2007 was $34.9 billion.
